Text: Mary E. Diemel, 94 of Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday evening February 15, 2005 at Bethel Home. She was born in Montello, WI on November 27, 1910 the daughter of David and Elizabeth Wincell Broderick. On October 20, 1931 she married Clyde Diemel on October 20, 1931 at the St. John Catholic Church in Montello, WI. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1991. They farmed until moving to Oshkosh.
She worked for the Deltox Co., Oshkosh BGosh, S.S. Kresge Co., retiring from the Standard Kollsman Co. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Rose Goodacre of Oshkosh, a son, Gerald (Jane) Diemel of Oshkosh, two grandsons, David (Mary) Goodacre of Hanover Park, IL, Richard (Barb) Goodacre Jr. of Neenah, WI, two granddaughters, Wanda (Dave) Richmond, and Lisa Williams of Oshkosh, ten great grandchildren, Keith Whitty and Patrick (Wendy) Whitty of Fond du Lac, Peter Beyer of Oshkosh, Missy Klabunde of Point Pleasant, NJ, Elizabeth (Mike) Cuttell of Hanover Park, IL, Ashley Eggebeen, Brenda Goodacre, Jennifer Williams, Mike Williams, and Taylor Williams all of Oshkosh, six step great grandchildren, Tim, Christina, and D.J. Richmond of Oshkosh, Timothy, James, and Cory Russ of Neenah, and one great great grandson, Lance Bennett of Point Pleasant, NJ. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Bernadine Broderick of Montello, WI, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Frances, Lawrence, and George Broderick, two sisters, Dorothy Gerts, and Lucy Knapwurst, a son-in-law, Richard Goodacre, two granddaughters, Linda Goodacre, and Gloria Beyer, and a great granddaughter, Sarah Eggebeen.
Her funeral will be Saturday February 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic with the Rev. Thomas Reynebeau officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends can call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
