Note: Confederate soldier, enlisted at Titus Co, Texas, USA in 1863 and served until end of war. Was in Ranger service in West Texas, USA. Statement from his sister, Mary Belle Peacock, "she remembered well when he enlisted. She stated he had a colored body-servant by the name of Dick Grant, who went into war with him. She remembered her brother rode a horse during his service and the body-servant also rode a horse. An affidavit by Dick Grant, body-servant, stated they served in West Texas, USA against the Indians at Lampasas and San Saba and they enlisted in John Houston's regiment in Dec 1863.

There is a memorial marker to Uriah and Archibald Peacock that is part of the Revolutionary War memorial in Washington County, Georgia, USA. The memorial is located on Highway 15 South, between Tennille and Wrightsville. It was dedicated on Oct 26, 1996. The Memorial is a tribute to seven Revolutionary Soldiers who setled in Washington County. These men helped begin Washington County and in years to follow, their descendants helped it to flourish into the thriving community that it has become. The memorial was made possible by contributions the hard work of many people dedicated to seeing that these forefathers receive a proper tribute.
