Archibald was one of the earliest Peacocks to settle in Washington County. Originally from Johnston County, North Carolina, USA, he settled in Wilkes County before migrating to Washington County. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Revolutionary War, where he served a total of seven months.

Archibald Peacock is one of seven Revolutionary War Soldiers who are memorialized in Washington County. (See Uriah Peacock page for details)

Was on the 1900 Census in Lee, Jessamine, Kentucky. Obituary. Thomas T Leavell died at his home in Wilmore, Saturday morning, of paralysis. The deceased was born in Garrard County in 1844. He moved to Fayette County in 1869. He was twiced married. His first wife was Miss Anna Thorne, of Fayette County, who died leaving three children. Mr Leavell second wife was Miss Love Corman, who survives with one child. He had been a resident of Jessamine County for twenty-six years. He was a Confederate veteran and served under Gen. John Morgan during the civil war. The deceased leaves four children, Mrs. Matt Mayes, Springfiield, KY.

WALKER, Lewis Leavell, a Representative from Kentucky, USA; born in Lancaster, Garrard County, Ky., February 15, 1873; attended Lancaster (Ky.) Academy, Garrard College, Lancaster, Ky., and Central University, Richmond, Ky.; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1894 and commenced practice in Lancaster, Ky.; also engaged in banking; prosecuting attorney of Garrard County in 1901; city attorney of Lancaster 1907-1910; served as trustee of the University of Kentucky, USA, at Lexington, Ky., 1908-1915; judge of the thirteenth judicial district of Kentucky, USA in 1910 and 1911; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-first Congress (March 4, 1929-March 3, 1931); was not a candidate for renomination in 1930; continued the practice of law in Lancaster, Ky., until his death there on June 30, 1944; interment in Lancaster Cemetery.
